Dina Meyer is a New York native who was born in Forest Hills Queens. She made the move into Dix Hills Long Island just when she was finishing her high school junior year. She has two younger siblings as well as an elder brother. Her first exposure to the industry of entertainment was in the form of modeling at the age of 9 to 16. Ron Stetson was her teacher at The Neighborhood Playhouse where she started studying Sanford Meisner's acting techniques for three years. Sandra Bullock received similar training as did Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton and Diane Keaton are also among the actors that have undergone the same type of instruction. The first time she was cast as an actress was in the soap-opera Beverly Hills, 90210, that required her to relocate from Los Angeles to Los Angeles. Soon after, she scored the role of the main character in the film Johnny Mnemonic, in which she did almost all of her stunts herself, and established her as a sexy actress. The agency she was represented by was Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent, she was able to get a regular part on Friends.
