Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss while her mother was English. She went to The Brit School when she was fourteen years old. She graduated with a BA in acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While at school she appeared in a variety of stage productions including the King Henry V's Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting career started in the series Storm Damage. Since then she's made appearances as a guest for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her debut film as a performer came from her role in the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. In the following film, she played Elisha, the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In her role, she also played Ollie in the six episodes of Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi, the lead role in the ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was also the title character in How to lose friends & make people feel alienated that was aired by Sony Pictures Entertainment back in 2008. She has performed as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path, composed by David Watson.
Madekwe was cast as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode show aired only for 2 weeks at The CW and then it was cancelled. In February of 2011 she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe starred as a regular character on the ABC drama series Revenge in two episodes. In May 2013 that she was set to quit the show after completing one guest appearance on the initial series of the 3rd. On the show Salem the actress played Tituba from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe, her long-time companion, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. Together, they worked on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He was also a part of the cast alongside Madekwe on Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. She joined her parents, Roy and Patty and four older brothers, Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. All of her brothers were athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey during the winter and summer months. They grew up playing the arenas and baseball. Ashley did not walk, but she was a dancer, and at age 2 1/2 years old she started Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. Ashley began to be a dancer immediately after that. Ashley continued to compete throughout high school with top divisions like ballet, tap, Jazz, Pointe, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Hip Hop and many more. Every big dance events, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the honor of "top individualist".
